What it would actually take: The stack would be a single Go binary with an append-only log on disk, an in-memory or on-disk index for subject-tree queries, and a hash chain over events. The hard parts are crash-safe durable writes with fsync discipline, atomic multi-event preconditions under concurrency, query planning for GDBQL, and safe on-disk format migrations. Building it well requires engineers who have written storage engines before, plus extensive correctness testing such as fault injection.
