Could you build this?

No A parametric B-rep CAD kernel with G2 curvature-continuous blends, watertight booleans, and CAGD-grade algorithms is research-level geometry work. A vibe-coded UI cannot stand in for that kernel.

What it would actually take: The stack would be a B-rep kernel in Rust or C++ with robust geometric and topological algorithms, including exact or near-exact booleans, fillets, and surface continuity constraints. The hard parts are numerically robust surface-intersection and blending algorithms, plus a STEP import/export layer. Building it takes computational geometry specialists and years of testing against edge cases, and the scripting and browser UI are the easier part.

Discussion

3 comments analyzed.

Competitors mentioned: solidcore, SMLib, Truck, Aetheris, OpenCASCADE

Concerns raised: boolean failures on tricky cases, fillet/chamfer failures near dense holes and tangent contacts, non-manifold topology still immature, small real-part test corpus
