Could you build this?
Partial Folder UI and symlink-style links are easy, but reliably extracting fields (amounts, dates, vendors) from arbitrary PDFs and scans and parsing natural-language queries against them needs OCR and extraction work that vibe coding alone won't get right.
What it would actually take: Build a macOS app using PDFKit and Apple's Vision OCR to extract text, then index it locally (SQLite with FTS or embeddings). Translate natural-language queries into structured filters, possibly via a small local model. The hard part is accurate metadata extraction across messy scans and languages, which requires document-processing and search expertise.
