Could you build this?
Partial The SwiftUI dashboard, logging, trouble-code display, and simulator are vibe-codeable, but live ELM327 communication over BLE, serial, and Wi-Fi requires hardware testing and protocol-level debugging that a solo builder will struggle to get right without an OBD expert.
What it would actually take: Build a SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency app with CoreBluetooth, serial, and TCP transports behind a common ELM327 adapter layer, plus decoding of OBD-II PIDs and DTCs. The hard parts are the flaky real-world adapter behavior and the many vehicle-specific quirks, which need testing against real cars and adapters. Optional LLM analysis is the easy part.
