Auto Trace lets you trace golf shots both automatically and manually, completely free, without watermarks, low resolution exports and usage limits. The keen user can unlock custom tracer styles and distance labels with a one-time purchase. No subscription required. I'm an avid golfer myself and, when on the course, I like to take some videos, which I've always wanted to add some shot tracers to. Existing options either didn't work well, were too pricy, or had watermarked exports.

Partial Manual tracing and export are simple to build, but fully automatic shot tracing from video or photos needs computer vision for ball detection and tracking that vibe coding alone won't get reliable.
What it would actually take: Manual tracing is a canvas overlay with a simple export pipeline. Automatic tracing needs ball detection and tracking, likely with OpenCV or a small trained model, plus camera-motion compensation and calibration for distance labels. Reaching reliable accuracy across lighting and camera conditions takes computer-vision experience and a lot of labeled test footage.
