Read the full description

Telepult.Web is a free browser extension that edits your camera during a web call: vanish from the frame, swap the background, drop a sticker, draw with a finger, put on a 3D mask, or leave an AFK timer. Everyone else sees a normal camera and installs nothing. Everything runs in the browser. No account and no servers, the video is not uploaded. Works on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Yandex Telemost and 28 more. Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, Yandex Browser and Firefox.

Could you build this?

Partial The effects UI and off-the-shelf segmentation models are vibe-codeable, but real-time background removal at good quality and injecting a camera feed into arbitrary web calls is a hard engineering problem.

What it would actually take: Build a browser extension that wraps getUserMedia and pipes frames through MediaPipe or TensorFlow.js segmentation and face-mesh models, rendering to a canvas stream. The hard parts are keeping frame rates acceptable on ordinary hardware, handling edge artifacts, and making the output work across sites and browsers, which takes graphics and ML performance tuning.
