What it would actually take: Accept OTLP over gRPC and HTTP, and store spans in a columnar store such as ClickHouse, with an aggregation layer for cost and latency per model, workflow, and customer. A pricing table for each model's token costs is also needed. The hard parts are high-throughput ingestion, retention and query performance at scale, and multi-tenant isolation, which call for backend and data-infrastructure engineers.
