SoundIn is a native macOS menu-bar dictation app: hold your hotkey, speak, release — text lands where your cursor is. $29 once, no subscription, no cloud. Plug in any Whisper-compatible endpoint, or run Qwen3-ASR on your Mac via oMLX. Made for Chinese input too: strip-trailing-punctuation toggle, IME misfire guards, double-tap hotkey translation. Swift, signed & notarized, Sparkle updates, transcription history with heatmap. Code is MIT open source; $29 supports indie development.
