Drone Trainer V2 is a free flight simulator for drone pilots. Practice the full RPTO exam (150 marks), fly with a real flight model, calibrate your transmitter, and build drones from Indian components. Works offline, no sign-up, no data collected. Windows and Mac. First comment (as maker): Maker here. I have been in the drone space since 2021 and built this so new pilots can get real practice before flying a real drone, free and offline. What it would actually take: Build a desktop app in Unity or Godot with a rigid-body flight model, controller input calibration, and a question bank for the RPTO exam, packaged for Windows and Mac. The hard part is a flight model that behaves like real quadcopters (motor thrust curves, drag, battery sag, and PID tuning), which needs aerospace or control-systems knowledge. Accurate component data and validation against real flights also take time.
