Partial Live maps, arrival alerts, family circles, and pick-up requests are standard mobile and backend work. Reliable crash detection and background location on iOS are harder, since they depend on sensor tuning and platform constraints.
What it would actually take: Use Swift with CoreLocation, background location modes, push notifications, and a real-time backend such as Firebase or Supabase. Crash detection requires CoreMotion sensor fusion with thresholds tuned on real crash data, and it must be safe against false alarms, which takes motion-sensing experience. Battery optimization for constant location sharing also needs iOS-specific expertise.
