Partial An Android TV playback wrapper using standard media players is vibe-codeable, but bypassing BBC's geofencing, dynamic manifest DRM, and hardware-specific 4K HLG profiling requires specialized media engineering.
What it would actually take: The app would use Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for TV on top of Media3/ExoPlayer. The primary hurdle is reliably reversing BBC's Media Selector v8 APIs, handling Widevine DRM token exchange, and tuning ExoPlayer decoders to negotiate TV-specific HDR10/HLG color profiles across varied OEM chipsets. Maintaining continuous streaming access against BBC bot-blocking requires dedicated media pipeline maintenance.
