Read the full description
AppLanes is a per-app VPN router for macOS. Instead of an all-or-nothing VPN toggle, assign each app to its own lane: - through your VPN - straight to the internet - blocked completely. Works with any VPN you already use — WireGuard, OpenVPN, or your provider's app. Includes leak protection, a live connection monitor, and full menu bar control. No account, no telemetry, no servers — it all runs locally on your Mac. First app of its kind on the Mac App Store.

Partial The settings UI is simple, but per-app routing on macOS requires a Network Extension, route and DNS handling, and leak protection. Getting that right and secure needs systems networking expertise.
What it would actually take: Build a Swift/SwiftUI menu-bar app with a NetworkExtension (transparent proxy or packet tunnel provider) that tags flows by bundle ID and routes them via the VPN interface, direct, or drop. The hard parts are correct per-process flow attribution, DNS and IPv6 leak prevention, and kill-switch behavior, plus code signing, notarization, and Apple entitlement approval. This needs a developer who understands macOS networking internals.
