Read the full description

Atlas is a free, calm, Arc-style browser for Windows: vertical tabs in a sidebar, Spaces, a Ctrl+T command bar, split view, Peek previews, reader mode, a built-in ad + popup blocker, tab sleep, full-page translate, per-site Boosts (your own colors, fonts, CSS/JS), sidebar media controls, a download sorter and a local stats page. Chrome extensions install straight from the Web Store. Chromium (Electron) under the hood, in-app updates. Not code-signed yet, so Windows shows a SmartScreen warning.

Could you build this?

Partial The sidebar UI, spaces, and command bar can be built with Electron or a Chromium shell, but a real browser needs a rendering engine and a production-grade ad and tracker blocker, which are hard pieces.

What it would actually take: The practical route is a Chromium-based shell (Electron or CEF) with a custom tab UI, then an ad-blocking engine such as uBlock Origin's filter lists. Building a rendering engine from scratch would need large browser-engineering teams, so a solo build is realistic only as a fork or wrapper.
