MindTheClub is a private messenger for Android that never asks for your phone number or email. Messages and calls travel directly between devices, encrypted end to end, and are never stored on our servers. The code is open source under GPLv3, and it also runs without Google Play services, for example on GrapheneOS. No ads, no tracking, no data to sell: after a free 30 day trial that starts with your first message, it costs 1 euro a month.

No Direct peer-to-peer messaging and calling without central server storage requires complex distributed networking (NAT traversal, STUN/TURN, WebRTC/libp2p) and sound cryptographic implementations.
What it would actually take: To build a serverless E2E messenger, you need WebRTC or libp2p for P2P transport, Signal Protocol or Double Ratchet for forward-secret encryption, and decentralized discovery (DHT or rendezvous points). The hardest parts are reliable NAT traversal without persistent relays and background message delivery on Android when peers are offline. This requires deep systems networking and cryptographic engineering expertise.
