Partial The front-end wrapper is trivial, but high-quality temporal video matting and transparent rendering requires either wrapping specialized third-party APIs or hosting heavy GPU inference pipelines.
What it would actually take: A production video background removal pipeline relies on deep learning video matting architectures (such as RobustVideoMatting or ProMatting) deployed on GPU instances with FFmpeg worker queues to handle frame-by-frame masking, temporal consistency, and transparent alpha-channel WebM/ProRes encoding. The primary challenge is maintaining low latency and flicker-free temporal consistency across fast motion without prohibitive GPU compute costs.
