Partial While the companion Android app and UI are straightforward, developing for Android Automotive OS (AAOS) requires specific Android Car API integrations, vehicle hardware emulation, and Automotive design constraints.
What it would actually take: The solution requires building native Android apps using Android Studio with the Car API (CarPropertyManager, CarSensorManager) running directly on AAOS head units, syncing over local Wi-Fi/Bluetooth or SQLite exports to a companion phone app. The hard part is dealing with restrictive AAOS OEM permissions, background service limitations in vehicle environments, and physical hardware/emulator testing. Success requires familiarity with Android Automotive platform architecture and hardware vehicle bus abstractions.
