Could you build this?
Partial A basic vector canvas and UI editor is vibe-codeable using existing libraries, but a credible Figma or Paper alternative needs performance-heavy rendering and real-time multiplayer infrastructure.
What it would actually take: A prototype can use canvas or WebGL libraries such as Konva, Fabric, or tldraw, plus an AI-agent bridge for design generation. Matching Figma-class quality requires a high-performance rendering engine, precise vector and text layout, file format and import/export compatibility, and CRDT-based multiplayer sync. That demands experienced graphics and collaborative-editing engineers working over a long period.
