You know when you’re out and remember the one thing that’s sitting on your Mac at home? That’s why we made Mermaid. You just text your Mac from your iPhone, like you’d text a friend, and it actually does the thing. It opens your apps, finds the file, writes the email, almost do anything and you can watch it happen on your phone. It’s not a chatbot and it’s not remote desktop. It just gets stuff done.

Partial Texting a Mac that calls an LLM and executes actions is buildable with existing APIs and macOS automation, but reliable app control, security for remote commands, and a relay that works from an iPhone are harder to get right.
What it would actually take: The architecture would combine a Mac background agent using AppleScript, Accessibility APIs, and shell tools with an LLM planner, plus an iOS messaging front end and an end-to-end encrypted relay. The hard parts are safe permissioned execution on a user's machine and a secure, reliable remote channel. That calls for security engineering and macOS systems knowledge beyond vibe coding.
