Partial The recording UI, summaries and local LLM chat are doable with existing models, but real-time on-device transcription on macOS with system audio capture and live captions requires low-level audio and performance engineering that vibe coding alone won't supply.
What it would actually take: Use a native macOS app (Swift) that captures system and microphone audio through ScreenCaptureKit or Core Audio, runs Whisper-family models on the Neural Engine through Core ML or whisper.cpp, and runs a local LLM through llama.cpp or MLX for summaries and Q&A over transcripts. The hard parts are reliable low-latency audio capture and streaming transcription that doesn't drain the battery or stall the call. This requires macOS audio and Core ML performance expertise alongside the app work.
