Partial A local chat UI with a model picker, voice, and document RAG can be built by wrapping Ollama or llama.cpp, but reliable hardware-aware model selection, fast local image generation with Flux and SDXL, and secure remote access are harder pieces.
What it would actually take: The stack would be an Electron or Tauri shell around llama.cpp or Ollama, a local vector store for RAG, Whisper-style speech recognition, and ComfyUI or diffusers for SDXL and Flux. The hard parts are GPU and VRAM detection with sensible quantization choices across varied hardware, and secure remote access without a cloud relay, which requires networking and security expertise. Shipping a polished installer also needs Windows packaging and driver-compatibility work.
