Read the full description

Jarvis is a realtime voice AI you talk to like a person. It answers out loud in about a second, searches the web and shows live cards. When a task needs a computer, it says so and hands it to Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or Hermes on your own machine, then reads you the result. Talk face to face with a live avatar. Self-host the open-source app (MIT), or link the free desktop app to Jarvis Cloud and use it from iPhone, Apple Watch, Android and the web.

Could you build this?

Partial Connecting speech APIs to an LLM is feasible, but executing local desktop tools reliably with sub-second voice round-trips and real-time agent handoffs requires advanced local orchestration.

What it would actually take: The stack requires low-latency WebRTC or WebSocket audio streaming, real-time voice models (such as OpenAI Realtime API or local Whisper/Piper pipelines), and an IPC daemon running on the host machine to invoke developer CLIs safely. The hard engineering lies in voice interruption handling (VAD/barge-in), sub-second latency optimization across speech-to-speech loops, and sandboxing local CLI tool executions.
