Description

Wêne opens a folder and shows what is in it. No library, no import, no catalog. It is built for culling. Walk a shoot with the arrow keys, send bad frames to the trash with ⌘⌫, file the keepers with ⇧⌘M, undo with ⌘Z. Nothing is deleted for real, and nothing is ever replaced. Thumbnails come up in Finder's sort order, so img2 lands before img10, and the grid follows the folder as files change on disk. Written in Rust, a port of Phoenix Slides. MIT. brew install --cask shaho/wene/wene

Could you build this?

Yes A native macOS Swift/SwiftUI or AppKit app that iterates through local file directories, renders previews using QuickLook or CoreGraphics, and performs basic file movement/trashing operations is standard vibe-coding territory.
