Description

TCG Jerk is a free Windows beta for Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, and One Piece collectors. Scan and review cards, organize a locally stored collection, build decks, and view available market prices. Could you build this?

Partial While deck building and inventory management are standard CRUD, high-accuracy card recognition/matching from raw webcam or image scans across thousands of card variations requires specialized computer vision / perceptual hashing pipelines.

What it would actually take: The stack would combine an Electron/Tauri desktop front end with an OpenCV/ONNX local vision pipeline (or a card recognition API like Phash/feature matching against high-res reference card databases). The hard part is building and maintaining a comprehensive, synchronized vector or feature embedding database of all TCG printings that accurately handles foil glare, low lighting, and minor variant distinctions across five major game ecosystems.
