Description

Bring your own subscription. Fork it and make it yours. With AI rapidly learning how to output 3d models, I feel like we need an app that standardize fast iterations, per-chat versioning, custom tools and interactions per-project and files ready to print! It’s not a full-CAD app yet. I’ve been focusing on UI/AI first and then iterate on editable mode.

Could you build this?

Partial A frontend shell with chat versioning and prompt tools is vibe-codeable, but robust programmatic 3D CAD modeling and export (STEP, STL) require bridging AI to specialized parametric geometry kernels.

What it would actually take: A viable CAD workbench must interface an agent with a programmatic geometric modeling kernel like OpenCASCADE (via CadQuery or build123d) or OpenSCAD, compiled to WebAssembly or running on a dedicated Python backend. The hard challenges involve deterministic geometric constraint solving, topological naming problem resolution during iterative AI edits, and valid manifold mesh generation for 3D printing. This requires domain expertise in computational geometry and parametric CAD programming.
