Description
KothaChobi is a video studio for Mac where the transcript is the editor. Write a script, record your screen, camera and voice with a teleprompter, then delete words from the text and the cut is made in the video. Autocut removes pauses, ums and retakes for you to review. Add cursor zoom, captions, privacy blur and studio voice, then export horizontal videos or vertical shorts. Speech-to-text runs offline on your Mac.

Could you build this?
Partial A complete text-based video editor on macOS requires non-trivial native media pipelines (AVFoundation), precise word-level subtitle alignment (Whisper timestamps), and frame-accurate timeline cuts.
What it would actually take: A production version would be built using Swift/SwiftUI with AVFoundation or an embedded Rust engine running FFmpeg/libav. The hard parts are seamless frame-accurate cuts without audio pops, deterministic word-level alignment across transcript edits, and smooth real-time timeline playback during multitrack teleprompter/screen recording.
