Could you build this?
No Creating a custom Linux operating system optimized for 300MB RAM with a custom modern desktop environment, app store, and UI-first settings requires low-level OS distribution engineering and kernel/compositor expertise.
What it would actually take: Requires deep Linux systems engineering: building a customized distribution (via Buildroot, Yocto, or a Debian/Alpine base), writing or heavily customizing a lightweight Wayland compositor/X11 window manager in C/C++ or Rust, creating native desktop shell components, and managing low-level hardware drivers, kernel tuning, and packaging infrastructure.
