Description

Hey, HN! With all recent agentic workflows being primarily terminal- and tmux-based, I wanted to share a little project I created about decade ago.I've continued to use this as my primary terminal "window manager" and wanted to share in case others might find it useful.I would love to hear about other's terminal-based workflows and any other tools you may use with similar functionality.

Discussion

20 comments analyzed.

Competitors mentioned: tmux, zellij, abduco, dvtm, kitty

Concerns raised: Alt-screen mode only prints current screen, not full history, Difficult to get current state/snapshots of terminal without full scrollback, tmux has complexity overhead for simple session management, Plain tmux config has limitations requiring shell scripting workarounds, tmux keyboard control is unintuitive

Feature requests: Snapshots/current view capture without full history, DVtm-like alternative for multiplexing, Floating pane support, Graphical UI features leveraging libghostty
