Description

TrackOn is an ultra-low-profile (10x10mm, ≤0.55mm thick) open-source tracking tag. Instead of off-the-shelf ICs, we designed a custom RISC-V bare-die ASIC that charges infinitely via 13.56 MHz resonant magnetic flux. It natively integrates with Apple & Google Find My mesh networks with rotating P-224 elliptic curve cryptography.

Could you build this?

No TrackOn requires custom bare-die ASIC silicon design, RF antenna engineering for magnetic flux harvesting, and cryptographic hardware integration.

What it would actually take: This project demands deep semiconductor and electrical engineering, including custom IC layout (RISC-V core), tape-out through a silicon foundry, and high-frequency RF harvesting antenna design. Additionally, it requires low-level firmware implementing the Apple Find My / Google Find My Device cryptography (rotating P-224/P-256 keys) within extreme power and memory constraints.
