Could you build this?

No Building a native, GPU-rendered desktop IDE in Rust using the Zed gpui framework requires deep systems programming, GPU UI rendering expertise, and direct FFI database integration.

What it would actually take: A native macOS application written in Rust using Zed's `gpui` framework, communicating with DuckDB via C++ FFI bindings. The core difficulties are building a high-performance virtualized grid capable of smoothly editing millions of rows on the GPU, handling background thread execution safely without locking the UI, and implementing custom database protocol drivers.
