Description

Browser agents usually spend a whole LLM turn — screenshot plus reasoning — just to click one element. ego-jev swaps that for a Jev (TypeSafe System One) inner loop inside ego lite: number the page's interactive elements, one typed call picks the operation and its target, ego executes. ~0.4s per step, no screenshots, no free text. Login and payment escalate back to you. MIT.

Could you build this?

Partial The high-level integration with browser agents is straightforward, but achieving ultra-low-latency (0.4s) DOM indexing and interaction without breaking complex modern web apps requires deep browser automation and execution engineering.

What it would actually take: The architecture requires lightweight in-page DOM mutation observers and injected scripts via Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) or Playwright that assign spatial coordinate labels to interactive elements. The challenging aspect is bypassing slow full-page screenshot/vision models by translating DOM state into minimal structural tokens for instant lightweight LLM/heuristic evaluation while handling dynamic iframes, shadow DOM, and single-page apps reliably.
